Description
The PIO gait simulator is a unique rehabilitation gait simulator for patients with partial motor impairments, which allows complex rehabilitation exercises to be performed in an upright position.
The mechanism of the simulator consists in the movement of the corresponding elements of the mechanical structure by the upper limbs, which are the support for the adynamic lower limbs. The trainee maintains an upright position thanks to the developed system of torso stabilization, and with the work done and the strength of his hands, he sets the whole body in motion - imitates walking.
In a physiologically straightened position, during an almost normal load of the musculoskeletal system, its joints alternately and passively work: hip, knee, ankle. At the same time, the upper limbs, together with the shoulder girdle, are actively working, setting in motion the entire system, and turning of the body is also trained.
